R and H Ranch is located in Southeastern Oklahoma in the heart of the Chickasaw Indian nation just north of the Texas border. "Owata" meaning to hunt in the Chickasaw language is is our passion here at the Ranch.  Owned by Mark and Michella Melton, R and H Ranch began its deer management program in 2006 with the goal of producing a healthy, well balanced heard of whitetail deer for folks to come and enjoy hunting.   The ranch is located on over 700 acres of heavily forested hills, draws and ravines making for a beautiful setting in which to pursue these maginificent animals.   Fall 2009 will be the first time the ranch as been open for hunting and should provide a great opportunity to hunt these animals under natural non pressured conditions.  Oklahoma wildlife regs allow us to set our own seasons and bag limits so that we can better manage our herd.  This also allows us to provide velvet hunts in early September for anyone interested, as well as customers to hunt with the weapon of their choice at whichever time during the season they choose.   Hunting takes place along natural travel patterns as well as overlooking some of the many food plots on the ranch.  

We are a family operation so feel free to bring your family to join us during your hunt, we like to think we are the perfect location for that father and son hunt you might have in mind.    We have first class accommodation here at the ranch, good food and lots of fun. 

Mature bucks average in the 140-150 range B&C gross, with the occasional 160 showing up.  Hunting is not easy, these are wild deer and the big bucks are smart, but we can guarantee if you hunt hard you will get an opportunity at a nice buck.  We do not charge trophy fees, or tell you that you cant shoot any buck you would like.  We prefer to let you hunt hard, have fun and kill the largest deer you can, we will work hard to put you on the big ones.
